Finally a Kid in NZ School

It took a Herculean effort to get this kid to be a visitor in Year 5 of an excellent primary school in Christchurch, New Zealand. So much red tape, and it’s still not 100% solid solution!!! Beautiful NZ works very well, usually, for “typical” scenarios. Extraordinary situations get stuck in bureaucratic catch22s. He will continue to be partially enrolled in his school at home and do some work to keep up there. In the meantime, he gets to meet new friends, experience the education system here, and give us both a break from the constant power struggle I got us into with home(and online)schooling. We can finally take full advantage of our covid free life here and live the remaining time we have in NZ more as locals do. I will forever be grateful to the Principal of this school for being willing to take on this challenge (when 13 other schools said no).
