After 2.5 years of living out of our carry-on luggage (22lbs suite case + a smaller backpack per person), the amount of STUFF we have in our house is absolutely overwhelming. The house itself is in a pretty run-down shape that cleaning, purging, painting (at some point), ‘moving in’ will take us months.
Photo: I came across this visual we created 18 months before our trip. We had it hanging in the kids’ room while we were dreaming, saving, planning. It’s lovely to see that we did almost all we planned (except Cambodia and everything that should have come after New Zealand). The fact is it turned out so much better than we could have ever planned. 16 months in New Zealand have been the highlight of this whole journey.
