Maksim and I went to Sipovo where we spent another 2 weeks.
Maksim’s Serbian improved drastically during that time because he spent it mostly with my cousin’s daughters. I would drop him off at my aunt’s house while I went to town to finish up some work for uncle Gliso and aunt Stoja. Maksim and I even harvested corn and beans with them. I would stop by my aunt Stana’s workplace to have breakfast with her. Then we would gather at someone’s house for dinner. It was a constant merry-go-round of hangouts with aunts, uncles and cousins. I would have stayed longer if another special gathering back in Serbia didn’t get organized towards the end of my planned visit.
