Valhelhas, Portugal – 3 nights
After almost a month of driving through Spain and Portugal and staying in 6 different locations along the way, we decided that we needed to spend a few days in a village of Portugal to do nothing, just rest a bit.
Kids made good progress on school work, Maksim on 3rd grade math and Petra on Algebra and Chemistry. Petra cooked us good meals. Petra, Maksim and I did a 5 mile hike of a portion of Portuguese Caminho de Santiago route. We did plenty of sleeping, eating and playing cards.
Even though we stayed for only 3 nights in Valhelhas, it was enough to get some downtime without any agenda or a need for sightseeing.
