In June, when we thought we were going to leave NZ as soon as we returned back from the South Island tour, our landlords put our Airbnb back on the market and someone reserved it for a girls’ weekend for the end of October.
Then, when we changed our minds about leaving NZ, we had this one week in October that we needed to bridge without our Chch accommodations and we ended up going back down to Wanaka again.
The first time we were there was in June (the start of winter) and now, it was springtime. Wanaka is a small town with not a lot to do but still, it does the body and soul good. There is something magical about it.
We also brought schoolwork with us this time around which meant that I woke the kids up in godforsaken hours to attend online classes.
Overall, a good trip with once again, beautiful views, very much resembling our part of the world, here in Washington, the gorgeous Pacific Northwest.
