We went up to Auckland to get Petra and Maksim’s passports renewed. We debated if it was a good decision to make more of this trip than just a passport run since we didn’t know how long the pandemic was going to last and when we would be able to return home and find new jobs. We were on a budget that had to be stretched from 6 months (what we had left of our planned trip) to last us at least a year. Because of this unknown, we weren’t sure if expanding this trip to travel around Northland was the right move. It turned out to be a perfect decision. Every part of New Zealand is gorgeous and here is some evidence of this beauty.
